General Information

What is OI&T?

The Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) provides strategy and technical direction, guidance, and policy to ensure that IT resources are acquired and managed for the Department of Veteran Affairs in a manner that implements various federal laws and regulations (including the Clinger-Cohen Act, FISMA, OMB Circular A-130, etc.). OI&T is the steward of VA’s IT assets and resources, and is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of VA’s IT Management System to meet mission requirements of the Secretary, Under Secretaries, Assistant Secretaries, and other key officials.

The OI&T conference is designed to:

  • Provide insight to the future direction of the VA’s information technology acquisitions
  • Build better-informed relations between Government and Industry leaders
  • The VA’s overall objective is to increase its potential to provide better service to our Veterans

The conference will include:
  • Business Opportunity Sessions outline the organization’s major activities and opportunities in 2015 – 2017 and the procurements they envision to support those activities and opportunities. In particular, the presenter will address where they see small businesses adding value (either in a prime or subcontractor role). The goal is to provide insight to the VOSB on what is coming down the road. The session lasts 45 minutes; 20-30 minutes for presentation, followed by 15-25 minutes for questions
  • Networking Tables enable VOSB to demonstrate their capabilities to Procurement Decision Makers on how they can add value to the organization’s mission. Each Networking Roundtable is 20 minutes and is limited to a maximum of four VOSB to facilitate discussion.

Conference Information:
  • One-day full conference
  • 15-30 Federal Attendees
